The second Open field Workshop at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro – Lisboa took place 15 and 16 July 2017, from 14h30 to 18h30. The drawing and engraving workshop by Joanna Latka had 6 participants. This workshop entitled “Have more eyes than belly” was based on the Rafael Bordalo PInheiro tile – “Painel de azulejos com borboletas e espiga de trigo”, 1905. The workshop was divided in two sessions, 4 hours each, from 14h30 to 18h30 on July 15 and 16, 2017.

In_NovaMusEUm OpenLab.1, 1 July, 2017 – Portugal – Lisbon, Museu Bordalo Pinheiro

The first Open field Workshop at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro – Lisboa took place 1 July 2017, from 16h00 to 18h00. The session had about 12 participants, mostly young people aged 18 to 35 years. This workshop was based on ceramic plate “Mesa Posta”, 1897, by Rafael Bordalo PInheiro. Artists Joana Andrade and Paula Ribeiro organized a session which can be summarized as a dyeing tablecloth workshop with food paints and banquet food arrangement.

In_NovaMusEUm Dinner in White, 20 May, 2017 – Portugal – Lisbon, Museu Bordalo Pinheiro

The event which took place during 20 May at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro had as central axis the works of Bordalo Pinheiro: hence, the subtitle “Jantar Bordaliano”/ “Bordalian Dinner”. Drawing inspiration from several ceramic pieces from Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, renowned chef Nuno Carrusca, from restaurant Água no Bico, created a true banquet-performance for the participants in this special event. Several ceramic pieces designed by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, namely the beautiful ceramic plate “Mesa Posta”, besides lovely decorative ceramic leaves and ceramic mugs designed by Bordalo Pinheiro.

In_NovaMusEUm OpenLab.1, 18 December, 2016 – Ioannina, Greece, The Silversmithing Museum, Ioannina, Epirus

The Participative LAB 1 was held at the Silversmithing Museum, Ioannina, Epirus the 18.12.2016, at 11:00. The LAB was announced via personal invitations, emails and social media. A press release was sent to the local newspapers and TV. Thirty-six (36) attended the Lab. Project managers Christos Merantzas & Eleni Pagratiou provided information regarding the General Action and the Project Actions in details.

Information concerning the previous activities of the Museum was also provided by Professor Theodoros Papagiannis. The discussion, conducted by Eleni Kontzampopoulou, with the contribution of the members of the podium, has developed a very clear message as for the necessity of attracted and cultivating new audiences not only for financial reasons, but also for creating a meaning and a value of life. The Mayor of the Municipality (Giannis Senteles) and the Director of the Theodoros Papagiannis Museum (Thaleia Tsoni) expressed their appreciation to the project and to its contribution in the cultural promotion of the region.

In_NovaMusEUm OpenLab.1, 28 November, 2016 – Italy, Ariccia, Palazzo Chigi

The event, which follows the presentation of the project In_NovaMusEUm – Museums such as back to the local community through Art & Food, which took place November 23, 2016 at Palazzo Chigi in Ariccia, intended to bring together stakeholders in the museum sector, tourism and food and wine, the local associations representatives, artists and residents of the area around the themes of the relationship between art and food. The goal was to formulate strategies for the involvement of the population – especially in the age group between 18 and 35 years old – in the promotion and dissemination activities of the museum centers of the Castelli Romani, on the theme Art & Food.
